ICSE Programme

The ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) Programme, administered by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, is designed to be delivered at Loyola in a structured and progressive manner. This enables students to be comprehensively prepared and equipped for future challenges. The programme emphasizes not only the application of knowledge but also the cultivation of analytical skills, aiming to nurture responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

ICSE students gain an in-depth understanding of core subjects, while also honing critical thinking and communication skills. This foundational education equips them to transition smoothly into academic environments. The holistic development of students is fostered through participation in a wide array of co-curricular activities, including Sports, Dance, Dramatic, Fine Arts, Western and Indian Music, Yoga, and Karate. The school’s robust co-curricular programme provides students with opportunities to evolve into well-rounded individuals who lead and participate in inter-house cultural and sports events, thereby enhancing their leadership abilities and teamwork.

Community service is a vital aspect of the educational experience, with students actively involved in social service projects that enrich their social consciousness. School trips and outing further broaden their academic and cultural perspectives.

Class VIII serves as a preparatory stage for the ICSE curriculum followed in Classes IX and X. Students undertake a comprehensive curriculum that includes English as the First Language, Hindi as the Second Language, along with Mathematics, History/Civics, Geography, Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), Economic Application, Commercial Application and Computer Application as core subjects.
